Villa Valdina is a holiday residence, built between the 17th and 18th centuries by the Papè family, Princes of Valdina and protonotaries of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. It is located in the centre of the Solanto plain, surrounded by a large agricultural estate. It is a baroque villa with two courtyards, one oval service yard and one private yard. Around the house were planted gardens, richly decorated with calcarenite vases and fountains. One of the walled gardens encloses the delightful rocaille chapel of the villa, with its shell-covered façade.
