Palazzo Bonocore

Palazzo Bonocore, dating back to the 16th century, is an ancient aristocratic residence. It has passed through the hands of many owners and undergone several renovation works, but it was the Lo Faso family, with the architect Domenico Lo Faso, who gave an important architectural imprint to the dwelling. The architect Lo Faso had the neoclassical façade built, inspired by the Teatro alla Scala. The palace is currently owned by the Archiepiscopal Curia of Palermo, the Bonocore heir, Giovanna Giacalone and the I World association which, on the main floor and in the beautiful frescoed rooms of the Palace, has set up the exhibition “Le Oasi delle Identità” (The Oases of Identity), a multimedia event dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage of Sicily.
