Palazzo Ajutamicristo
Palazzo Ajutamicristo, located in via Garibaldi, is a noble palace which the banker, Guglielmo Ajutamicristo, baron of Misilmeri and Calatafimi, had built. He wanted to live in Palermo to better manage his business. Built at the end of the 15th century, the palace underwent numerous renovation works and is now in Gothic-Catalan style with Baroque balconies and portals and a double-order of loggias with garden. Of particular interest is the ballroom with the ceiling frescoed by Giuseppe Crestadoro, depicting “The Glory of the Virtuous Prince”, which overlooks the flower-filled terrace.
